Opportunities to help from home:
-We are getting ready for our 1st Annual Art Contest, Inspirations! The sponsors and participants are from other charter schools in Utah. There will be a school, regional, and state level for our kids to compete in. If you would like to help organize the school level competition, we will be meeting Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7pm in the Academy Library.
-We are planning social activities for parents and families to get to know each other better. If you would like to help plan these, please reply to the Committee Chair at this link Julie Ward

-The Tooele County Bookmobile will visit Excelsior Academy every other Tuesday starting on October 8th. John Ingersol, the Bookmobile librarian, has asked for volunteers to assist him in checking out books for the students. The visit will be from 9:00 AM to 2:45 PM with a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30. To help with this, reply to this link sroberts@excelsior-academy.org
-We still need parents willing to substitute supervising lunch recess, or serving lunch.
*Any volunteer coming into the Academy, needs to have received Volunteer Clearance first. To get Volunteer Clearance, you need to pass a background check and read the Volunteer Handbook. Background check applications and the $10 accompanying fee need to be turned into the front office. You will be notified when your background check is complete. The Volunteer Handbook is also available at the front office. Once you have received Volunteer Clearance, your student's teachers will be notified that you are now eligible to help in their classrooms. Thank you!
